ABOUT LIVING SOILS:
Living Soil relies on microorganisms that live in nature to take care of the roots and the plant. This relationship between microbes and plants has been going on as long as there have been plants. That is until chemical fertilizers came into existence. Microbes and fungi form symbiotic relationships with the plants, the roots tell the microbes what it needs and the microbes get it for the roots, in turn the roots give the microbes sugars and nutrients they need. So basically our concentrate is a collection of microbes and fungi and all the nutrients they need to covert to feed to the plant for one growth cycle. All you need to do is add water from seed to harvest.
*If you extent the vegetative cycle beyond 3 months you will need to do a top dressing feed (see instructions below)
ABOUT SUPER SOIL:
Organic super soil is a living soil growing technique. The recipe is part of the organic living soil movement that has turned away from the use of chemical fertilizers and instead look to nature to allow each seed to reach its maximum genetic potential. When done properly, yields tend to be larger than traditional soil and, in some cases, even hydroponics, but nothing comes close to Organic Super Soil when it comes to taste and quality.
This Super Soil Concentrate is the SubCool formula with a few added ingredients (fillet, added microorganisms), all you need to do is finish the final step and add organic potting soil. The concentrate has cooked for a minimum of 45 days and is ready for use after the potting soil has been added. Just follow the instructions in the “Techniques Section”.
EACH BAG IS 1 POUND
Add the contents of the Organic Super Soil Concentrate (1 lb) to 1.5 cu ft (approx 7 lbs) of high-quality organic potting soil and mix thoroughly.
The Organic Super Soil has already “cooked”. Bags are filled on day of shipping to assure freshness and health of microorganisms.
HOW TO USE
Once you have mixed your concentrate and potting soil as described above we suggest using one of the techniques described below.
Above are instructions for 1 gallon containers
Super Soil Technique:
1. Add 1/2lb (1/2 bag) of Nutrient Bomb Living Soil concentrate for every 1.5-2 gallons of organic potting soil to make a ready to use Super Soil (about 1/3 of a 5 gallon container)
2. Fill a container 1/3 full with the super soil from step 1 and 2/3 with organic potting soil.
3. Plant and water from seed to harvest
Living Soil Technique:
1. Thoroughly mix 1/2 lb of Nutrient Bomb Living Soil concentrate for every 5 gallons of organic potting soil to make a ready to use Living Soil
2. Make a small hole, about the size of a 16oz cup, and fill with organic potting soil.
3. Plant and water from seed to harvest
Top Feeding:
1. Sprinkle a thin layer of Nutrient Bomb Living Soil concentrate on the top of the soil and water.
Compost Tea:
Add 2-3 heaping tablespoons of concentrate and one tablespoon of un-sulfured black-strap molasses per gallon of water and let stand for 24 hours.
Making your own potting soil:
Ingredients:
6 gallons sphagnum peat moss or coir fiber (preferred)
4.5 gallons perlite
6 gallons compost or earthworm castings (preferred)
1 pound Nutrient Bomb Living Soil Concentrate
Mix the ingredients thoroughly
Recycling Your Living Soil
Once you have gone through a growth cycle you can reuse the soil as your base potting mix on the next planting
